Aerobus stops: not the same in both directions
This is the detail that ruins most journeys. The Aerobus has three city stops, but the outbound route does not match the inbound one. Here are both lists, in order, so you do not stand at a stop no bus will reach.
Line A1 — Terminal T1
City → airport
- Plaça de Catalunya
- Sepúlveda – Comte Urgell
- Plaça d’Espanya
- Terminal 1
Airport → city
- Terminal 1
- Plaça d’Espanya
- Gran Via – Comte Borrell
- Plaça Universitat
- Plaça de Catalunya
Line A2 — Terminal T2
City → airport
- Plaça de Catalunya
- Sepúlveda – Comte Urgell
- Plaça d’Espanya
- Terminal 2B
Airport → city
- Terminal 2C
- Plaça d’Espanya
- Gran Via – Comte Borrell
- Plaça Universitat
- Plaça de Catalunya
Three things worth knowing before you walk to the stop:
- Plaça Universitat is a stop only in the airport → city direction.
- Neither line calls at Barcelona Sants or Barcelona Nord.
- Stops move on parade days, marathon days and other street closures.
Choosing your stop
Staying in the Eixample or Gràcia? Plaça de Catalunya is almost always best: it is the terminus, so you sit down and the bus leaves. Near Sant Antoni or the Raval? Sepúlveda–Comte Urgell saves you the detour. Coming from the airport towards the university area, get off there rather than riding to the end.
For Montjuïc, the Fira or anything around Plaça d’Espanya, that stop works in both directions and is the first one inbound — about fifteen minutes saved over going to Catalunya and doubling back.

Frequently asked questions
How many stops does the Aerobus have?
Three in the city plus the terminal. But not the same three each way: heading out it calls at Sepúlveda–Comte Urgell, coming in it calls at Gran Via–Comte Borrell and Plaça Universitat.
Where is the Aerobus stop in Plaça de Catalunya?
On the side of the square next to El Corte Inglés, beside the metro entrance. It is the terminus, so there is always a bus waiting or about to arrive.
Does the Aerobus stop at Sants station?
No. Neither line passes Barcelona Sants or Barcelona Nord. To reach Sants from the airport, the Rodalies train is direct.
Can I catch the Aerobus at Plaça Universitat to go to the airport?
No. Plaça Universitat is airport-to-city only. For the airport, your nearest stops are Plaça de Catalunya or Sepúlveda–Comte Urgell.
