Park Güell tickets: price, time slots and where to buy
The paid part of Park Güell costs 18,00 € and is sold for a set time slot. The cheapest place to buy is the park's own website, which earns us nothing. Below: how the slots work, who goes free, and when a guided tour is worth paying for.
Price and what it covers
- General ticket: 18,00 € on the official website.
- Children under 7: free, but they still need a ticket for the slot.
- Reduced fares for children from 7 and for seniors; the amount shows when you book.
The ticket gets you into the park, with Gaudí's dragon stairway, the Hypostyle Room and the big terrace with the mosaic bench. Some spaces may be closed for conservation work; the official site lists them.
How the time slots work
You pick a time when you buy and have 30 minutes to enter. Once inside there is no time limit, but there is no re-entry. Morning slots are usually calmer and cooler in summer.
Where to buy
The official website is the cheapest for the plain ticket. Official Park Güell tickets.
A guided tour is worth it if you want the story behind the park, which you will not get from the signs. Turisme de Barcelona's shop sells one in several languages:

For small groups, private guides or a visit combined with the Sagrada Família, compare the tours on GetYourGuide. Many offer free cancellation; check the conditions of each one.

Getting there
Metro Lesseps (L3), then a walk of about 20 minutes, mostly uphill. Allow for it when you choose your slot. More stops in our Barcelona metro map.
